The Original DeSkuzzer
Floating Pond Skimmer

Your water, the way you remember it.

End the endless raking. One pass lifts duckweed, string algae, leaves and surface scum straight off your pond or lake, no harsh chemicals, no hired crew. About fifteen minutes, and the green is gone.

Sound familiar?

The duckweed always comes back.

Every fix you’ve tried costs money, weekends, or the health of the water itself.

The rake never wins

A handful at a time while the rest drifts back in. By next weekend the surface has closed over again.

Chemicals are a treadmill

Algaecides need buying and re-buying, and every dose is a gamble with your fish and everything else living in the water.

Crews bill by the visit

Season after season, invoice after invoice, for a job one person can finish before the coffee goes cold.

Drag it yourself

Duckweed and algae removal, one pass.

This is the whole pitch. Slide the handle and watch the water come back, about fifteen minutes of work.

BeforeAfter one pass

Ordinary pond nets push floating weeds underwater and miss half of them. The DeSkuzzer’s raised floats hold the leading edge above the waterline, so duckweed and algae flow into the collection screen instead of slipping beneath it, more cleared with every pull.

One person, start to finish

Clear your pond in three moves.

No boat required. No assembly beyond a snap. Nothing added to the water.

Floating pond skimmer resting at the waterline of a calm lake

1   Float it

Set the 54-inch DeSkuzzer on the surface. Sealed buoys hold the leading edge right at the waterline, where the debris lives.

2   Pull it across

No dragging out a kayak or hiring help. Toss it past the debris with the 24-foot rope and draw it back from shore or boat; the wide net gathers everything floating in its path.

3   Empty and repeat

Tip it out on the bank and go again. Most ponds are open water in about fifteen minutes.

Cleared more duckweed in fifteen minutes than a whole Saturday with the rake.

No more algaecide. I walk the shoreline every couple weeks and the water stays clear.

Good questions

Pond skimmer questions, answered.

Either works. Most owners walk it along the shoreline with the 24-foot rope. On bigger water, tow it behind a rowboat or push it ahead of a power boat.
It clears roughly 400 square feet in about fifteen minutes and scales to any size by repeating passes. Bigger water just means a few more sweeps.
Know your weed before you order: the DeSkuzzer is built for floating debris like duckweed, string algae, leaves and surface scum. Watermeal on its own is too fine for the netting, though mixed with duckweed it collects along for the ride.
Up to about a 50-pound load per pass. Lighter, more frequent passes keep the surface clear with the least effort.
It arrives folded in half with the net, buoys and rope attached. Push the frame together until the snaps click and it is ready for the water. It folds flat again for winter storage.
Unused units are covered under our return policy. Once a unit has been in the water it can’t be returned, because moving equipment between waterbodies risks cross-contaminating lakes and ponds.

Skip the rake. Skip the chemicals.

Your pond is one pass from clear.
